What’s included

What a bathroom
renovation includes.

Bathroom renovations in King City start with a permit check, because even a half-built room needs one here. Past the permit, the room is yours to decide: a walk-in shower with glass or a soaking tub, a custom vanity with a stone top, a heated floor if you want one, and an exhaust fan vented outside.

  1. Showers and tubs

A walk-in shower, a soaking tub or both, set out for the room you have.

    • Walk-in showers
    • Soaking tubs
    • Shower glass
    • Waterproofing behind the tile
  2. Vanities and storage

A drawer for everything, in cabinets made for how little floor a bathroom has.

    • Custom vanities and cabinets
    • Full-extension drawers
    • Stone counters
    • Mirrors and lighting
  3. Tile and heated floors

Tile set out so the cuts fall where you won’t notice them, over a floor that is warm underfoot.

    • Custom tile layouts
    • Heated tile floors
    • Wall and floor tile
  4. Plumbing, electrical and ventilation

The walls come open just once, since the trades behind them work together.

    • Fixture rough-in and installation
    • Lighting and fan wiring
    • An exhaust fan vented outside

Bathroom renovation permits in King City

In King, finishing a roughed-in washroom counts as permit work in its own right. The capped drains in the floor make the plumbing simpler, yet the Township of King still wants a building permit before the toilet, sink and shower are set on them. A renovation that moves a drain, adds a fixture or repairs old plumbing sits on the same side of the line, so we work out where your plan falls first.

A King bathroom permit takes one document beyond the drawings, chosen by where the house drains. A home connected to municipal sewers files a Plumbing Data Sheet. A home on a private septic system files a Sewage System Evaluation and Declaration for the existing system. The rule is the same for a renovated ensuite and a finished rough-in, so we confirm how your house is serviced at the first visit and help with the application.

Tile, glass and a heated floor, settled before demolition

All three are built into the room, so they are chosen before it is opened. Shower glass needs solid blocking in the wall where its hinges or clamps go, and a heated floor needs its wiring run at rough-in. Once the walls are closed, changing any of these means opening the room again, which we price in cost and time first. The budget itself is agreed with you at the start, and fixtures left on their drains keep it down.
